About the Author

Alex Souchen is a historian specializing in warfare, society, and the environment in Canada. He received a PhD in History from the University of Western Ontario in 2016. You can also follow him on Twitter.

From 2016-18, he held a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship at Wilfrid Laurier University and the Laurier Centre for Military Strategic and Disarmament Studies (2016-18). For more on his SSHRC research click here.
